Air Duct Cleaning
Every 3–5 years for most homes. However, in Florida’s climate — with year-round HVAC use, coastal humidity, and heavy pollen seasons — we recommend every 2–3 years. If you’ve never had it done, or just moved into a home and don’t know its history, it’s worth getting it done now.
Common signs include dust visible on vent covers, a musty or stale smell when the AC runs, allergy symptoms that are worse indoors, uneven airflow between rooms, or if you’ve recently had renovation or construction work done in the home.
Most homes take 2–4 hours depending on size, number of vents, and system condition.
No. We use non-invasive methods that comply with DBPR — Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the state agency that sets the standards for duct cleaning in Florida. We do not cut access panels or remove air grilles. Everything is done through existing openings.
We use commercial-grade negative-air vacuum equipment to place the duct system under sustained negative pressure. This pulls loose debris — dust, pet dander, and accumulated particles — out of the supply and return lines throughout the duct system and into a contained collection unit. We do not use mechanical agitation tools inside the air ducts.
We ask that someone 18 or older be present for the duration of the job so we can walk you through what we find and confirm everything before we leave.
If that’s not possible — vacant unit, schedule conflict, whatever the situation — we’re happy to make alternate arrangements. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Our air duct cleaning uses professional negative-air equipment to create strong suction throughout the system while supply ducts are cleaned individually. Returns are sealed to maintain pressure, debris is captured in a dedicated filtration unit, and the air handler is protected during the process to keep contaminants out of the HVAC equipment.
Every job ends with an EPA-registered botanical disinfectant treatment — Benefect Decon 30 fogged into the system before it’s restored to normal operation. This is included at no extra charge on every air duct cleaning we do.
This is an important question. If you have an active mold problem, you need a mold remediation company — not a duct cleaner. Call us and we can point you in the right direction.
Our process is non-invasive. We use high-powered negative-air vacuum equipment to remove mold-contaminated dust, debris, and particles from your duct lines, and we fog the system with Benefect Decon 30 — an EPA-registered botanical disinfectant — at the end of every job. We do not scrape or use any invasive techniques inside the ductwork.
If mold is a serious or recurring issue, you may need professional remediation, duct repair, or full duct replacement before a cleaning makes sense. We’ll be honest with you about that if it comes up.
That’s a separate service from duct cleaning, and here’s the distinction worth knowing: the duct system — your supply and return lines — is where dust, debris, and buildup actually travel and accumulate. That’s what we clean, and we clean it thoroughly. The air handler components are mechanical HVAC equipment; servicing them requires a licensed AC contractor under Florida Chapter 489, not a duct cleaning company.
Some companies bundle both under one visit. If someone offers to clean your coils or blower wheel without holding a Florida CAC (Certified Air Conditioning) license, decline — that work requires one. A legitimate HVAC contractor will have no problem showing their credentials.
If you do need coil or blower cleaning, we’re happy to point you toward a licensed AC contractor.
Yes. We use Benefect Decon 30, a plant-based EPA-registered disinfectant. It’s botanical — not a harsh chemical fogger — and safe once dry. We’ll let you know when it’s been applied and how long before the system is restored to normal operation. If you or someone in your home has specific sensitivities, feel free to ask us about it before booking.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
At minimum, once per year. If you have a longer vent run, a roof-venting system, or do heavy laundry, every 6–9 months. Florida’s humidity accelerates lint buildup compared to drier climates.
Your clothes take more than one cycle to dry, the dryer or laundry room feels unusually hot, you smell something burning when the dryer runs, or it’s been more than a year since it was last cleaned.
Yes — lint buildup in dryer vents is one of the leading causes of house fires in the US. It’s not a scare tactic, it’s a real risk that’s easy and inexpensive to prevent.
No. The lint trap catches a fraction of the lint produced. The rest travels through the vent line and accumulates over time. Only a full professional cleaning clears the entire vent run.
Yes. Many Palm Coast homes have dryer vents that exit through the roof. We’re equipped to handle these — including checking the exterior exhaust and testing airflow before and after.
Most jobs take under an hour.
No. We clean from the wall connection point through to the exterior vent termination — the rigid duct run inside your wall or ceiling, all the way out to where it exits the house (usually the roof in Palm Coast). That’s where buildup actually accumulates and where the fire risk lives.
The transition hose — the short flexible piece that connects the back of your dryer to the wall — is thin, flexible plastic. It’s not designed to be cleaned, and it’s too fragile to run equipment through without risking damage.
If yours is kinked, crushed, or visibly deteriorated, it’s worth replacing. It’s a straightforward DIY fix or an inexpensive part swap if yours needs replacing.
No. Our scope is the vent line — from the wall connection to the exterior termination, including roof access if that’s where your vent exits. We don’t disassemble the dryer, clean the drum interior, or service the appliance itself.
If you do hire someone for interior dryer work, make sure they carry liability insurance for appliance work. It’s also worth checking your owner’s manual — third-party disassembly can void the manufacturer warranty on some models.
Pricing & Booking
Air duct cleaning is priced based on home size and system complexity — we give you a clear quote before any work begins, no surprises. Dryer vent cleaning is a flat-rate service at $125.
For context, the EPA’s reference range for whole-home air duct cleaning is $450–$1,000. If you see quotes well below that range, ask what’s actually included. Low-dollar specials almost always involve incomplete cleaning, a shorter job, or aggressive upsells once they’re in your home.
